Find out about keyboard controls, themes, reduced motion and text alternatives in WordShapeLab, along with known limits of word-cloud artwork.

WordShapeLab uses text for navigation and guides, labeled controls, visible keyboard focus and layouts that adapt to smaller screens. You can choose light or dark mode. Animation is reduced when your device has reduced motion enabled.

Keyboard and screen-reader use

Use the skip link to move to the main content. Tab and Shift+Tab move between controls, and buttons can be activated with the keyboard. The word table and placement report let you check the wording and layout results as text, alongside the visual preview.

Share a text list with the artwork

A word cloud can be difficult to read with magnification or assistive technology. Include a plain-text list or CSV when you share artwork whose wording matters. Explain how you chose the words, and use text as well as color to communicate essential meaning.

Choose a comfortable view

The interface follows your system theme until you choose one yourself. You can also use browser zoom to enlarge text and controls. The app theme and artwork background are separate: changing the editor to dark mode won't change the background in your download.

Known limits

This release supports the Latin-script input and font coverage described in the guides. SVG outlines preserve the letters' appearance, but they don't provide a complete text alternative. Keep essential wording available as ordinary text in the document, slide or page where you use the artwork.
