Terms of use

Read the terms for using WordShapeLab, its word-art examples and downloads, including your responsibilities for the text and files you share.

WordShapeLab is a free tool for making word art from text you choose. Use the site and its examples lawfully, and respect other people's privacy and rights.

The words and files you use

You are responsible for the text you enter and the files you share. Check that you have permission to use names, quotations, trademarks and other protected material. Arranging text with this tool doesn't give you rights to the text itself.

Examples, fonts and software

You can use the site's original example lists and guides as starting points for your own word art. Bundled fonts and software have their own license notices in the project distribution. Don't present third-party font designs or the WordShapeLab brand as your own work.

Review the result before you use it

Some words may stay unplaced because they are too long, too small or short of space. Before printing or sharing, check the placement report, spelling, dimensions, background and margins. Word size gives visual emphasis; it doesn't provide an exact statistical measure of the area each word occupies.

Availability and local storage

Your browser, available memory and device settings can affect downloads and saving. Keep a project file when you want to preserve your work. The service may change, and continuous availability or a perfect result cannot be guaranteed.

Supported use

Use supported local text, CSV and project files. Don't introduce executable content, bypass import limits or misuse the service. WordShapeLab doesn't provide accounts, cloud backups or public hosting for private artwork.
