Make an apple-shaped word cloud

An apple suits a classroom wall, a nature topic or a teacher thank-you gift. The example follows an orchard theme, with Harvest, Orchard and Grow as its largest words. Use that list for a seed-to-harvest display, or replace it with vocabulary and messages chosen for your own project.

Build a list around your topic

Keep a term such as apple blossom together when it names one idea. For a teacher gift, you might use short phrases of appreciation instead of orchard vocabulary. Check names and spelling before generating, then keep a plain list beside a classroom display so pupils can read every term easily.

Bud, Stem, Bark and Branch are some of the smaller supporting words. Their weights range from 0.3 to 0.8 in the sample. Keep the emphasis on a few main terms and use the rest to support them. The example permits both horizontal and vertical words; changing that setting creates a different arrangement.

Expect more space in the apple's body

The rounded body has more usable space than the small stem and leaf. Those upper details may stay empty because a whole word, including its spacing, cannot fit there. Check the report for missing items and try a smaller size or less padding when you want to include more of your list.

  • Start with the 45-row orchard example and its square canvas.
  • Choose a few main topic words to receive the largest weights.
  • When using your own classroom vocabulary, compare the complete list with the placed and unplaced counts.

Prepare a classroom print or gift

The 200 × 200 mm artwork fits on an A4 or US Letter sheet with room for a title or vocabulary list. Choose strong contrast for a wall display. For a black-and-white printer, change the artwork palette to Monochrome; switching the app to dark mode leaves the artwork colors unchanged.

Keep the editable project JSON for later lessons or a second gift. You can update the wording, try another seed or make a new color version from the same file. Download the finished artwork as well, so the version you checked is ready to print.
